Thank you God for another year of life

 It's been six days since I celebrated my 52nd birthday. It is only now that i had the chance to write a post about it. Just like the two previous years, again we celebrated my birthday in quarantine because of covid. We're suppose to have a very nice relaxing birthday vacation in Tagaytay but my daughter and her friend was positive with covid. Anyways despite what happened we still had a simple celebration at home.

I'm grateful to God for giving me another year of life. God has blessed us in many ways and much more than we deserve. And I believe still the best is yet to come!

 

Cast all your cares on Jesus

How to cast all our cares and worries on the Lord? 

1. Call on Him

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3

God will always hear our prayers, his ears are inclined to hear the cry of His children.

2. Trust Him.

Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it. Psalm 37:5

Trust Him because our God is faithful and He doesn’t change. God remains the same and the miracles He performed in the past in our lives just show us that He can and will do it again. 

3. Give it to Him.

Come to me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

God wants to take this heavy yoke from our shoulders, He wants us to trust Him with our burden and to take it from us.

4. Rest in Him.

God wants us to let go of our burden, when we let it go He gives us His rest. A full and real rest for our souls.

"Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; HE IS MY MIGHTY ROCK, MY REFUGE." Psalm 62:1-7

Installing Velvet Drawer Liners

If you have always wanted velvet liners in your drawers, they are actually straightforward to install. By following a basic process, anyone can have perfect velvet drawers. 

Gather Your Materials

Make sure you get the velvet pieces you want. It would be best if you also got a spray adhesive. The last thing you will need is a piece of cardboard or thin wallboard. 

Cut the Board

If you are buying hardboard, you will need to cut it down with a saw. If you are using cardboard, you can cut it at home with a razor blade. While cardboard is cheaper, hardboard will last longer. Cardboard pieces should never be glued together or placed next to each other. Make sure they will fit in the drawers you want to modify in one piece. It is a good idea to leave some wiggle room when you cut the board. 

Apply the Velvet

Cut the velvet to the same size as your board. Spray one side of the board with adhesive. Carefully apply the velvet. Smooth out the liner and make sure it sticks. If there is extra velvet over the edges, flip the board over and spray the backside. Then, you can fold any extra strips over and stick it to the back. The back is less important, so it can be rough looking. The velvet is very forgiving, and you should be able to do this process easily. 

Install Them

Set your velvet boards inside your drawers. You could also add a second liner on top for a little extra cushion. You may also want to add some ring holders or special cushions for your pieces carved from antler. Once you get your drawers perfect for you, you can move in. 

Installing velvet in your drawers is easier than you would expect. This is a quick process that involves minimal work. Plus, you can add other options once you finish your liners. This makes your drawers completely custom and perfect for you.

So no matter what happens, I will love Him and worship Him whether in good or bad times. I will hold on to His love and promises. Tell others about His goodness, His great love, grace and mercy.

We pray and declare the love, glory and unity of God between family members as we as a family submit in totality unto the Lordship of Jesus. We pray over our children, protect them from peer pressure and set them free from the spirit of this world. We pray for future partners to be godly men and women. Fearing God and trusting God alone.  Therefore we as family will be anointed walking in God’s authority as worthy ambassadors wherever we go and in whatever we do.

Indeed God is so great and worthy of the highest praise and honor! 

There are times when we feel and think God is not fair. We asked why do bad things happen to good people. Why He allowed the wicked to prosper and let the faithful ones to suffer. We even say God doesn't makes sense. But we must understand that God is sovereign, He knows everything and He is just. Everything happens for a reason and we should trust Him and the process. To increase our faith, He allows the enemy to test us, sometimes to harm us just like Job so that after we endure, we'll experience God's power and presence in our lives.

I've been through a lot, and in all seasons of my life I'm full of gratitude because of God's unconditional love and faithfulness to me and my family. In spite of who we are and what we did, He never leaves us nor forsake us.

Coping up

It's been a while since my last post..well it's because of my work load in the office plus we got too busy preparing for our children's moving in to a new apartment. My son is now a college freshman in a university in Manila joining her sister who's also working in Makati, so both of our children are living independently now. As for me and husband, we really feel the difference of not having our children around. So to cope up, I just look for other way to fill the emptiness, gladly my daughter shared her Netflix account with me. So now that's where I'm diverting my attention and I easily got hooked to the TV series that I'm watching.

Watching TV series can be addictive sometimes, there are days when all I want is to do is finish watching the whole season in one sitting hahaha. Currently I'm watching Suits, an American legal drama television series created and written by Aaron Korsh. The series premiered on June 23, 2011, on USA Network, it is the network's longest running original series in terms of seasons and episodes. The final season was aired July 17 of this year. I love reading novels written by John Grisham which mostly are related to legal thrillers, that's why when I saw this TV series, Suits it immediately draw my attention. I also love the lead characters Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) and Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht).

Resting in God's promises

It's so hard to get up this morning, the weather is gloomy because of the coming typhoon..and because i have a cold allergy, my eyes is watery and my nose is so itchy, these makes me all the more glued to my bed. But I need to get up and go to work. :(

I really look forward to the day where I can  sleep and take a rest as long as I want..without thinking or worrying about anything. I just thank the Lord for always reminding me that through Him, we can find strength, peace and rest. 

And He said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest. ~Exodus 33:14

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. ~Isaiah 40:29-31

In times like this, I just quiet my spirit, meditate on His words and take a rest in God's promises.

It's a super rainy Monday today! Just like what the lyrics in the song says.."Rainy days and Mondays always gets me down"... why? maybe because Monday is the start of another stressful week at work and waking up early in the morning is so hard especially if we also had a busy weekend and very little time to relax at home. And it's also so hard to go to work when it's raining!! But I know it shouldn't be always like that.. Whatever day or whatever is the season, I know I should happy and grateful because everyday is a gift from God. This morning my husband and I went to Angeles University Foundation Medical Center for my radioactive iodine uptake and thyroid scan. It's the test that will determine my thyroid's condition whether I will be needing a radioactive iodine treatment. I'm praying hard that the outcome will give normal and healthy thyroid. Jesus already take away our sickness, he said by His stripes and wounds we are healed. I claim God's promise in my life. I am healed in Jesus name!
