There was a toy exhibit at the mall last Sunday, all the kids passing by definitely stopped to look at the toys on displays. One particular toy that caught my attention was the Ferrari toy car, the toy’s parts has resemblance to real Ferrari parts. On the other hand my kids’ attention was focused on gaming toys, they even tried to persuade me to buy PSP. But they didn’t win hehe, however I was forced to make a promise that if they got good grades this coming school year I will give them what they want as a reward. Well, they both agreed because they have no choice but to agree.lol

Our weekend at the mall
We went to the mall this weekend to shop for school and office supplies. We shopped two weeks earlier to avoid rush shopping. We experienced it in the past, the mall was too crowded and there were long lines in the cashiers. Yesterday, there were few who also bought their school things already.
We just had a little difficulty looking for my daughter’s shoes, actually my feet aches until now because of walking back and forth at the entire mall yesterday. Anyway, inspite of that we had a great time..shopping is one of our bonding activities together. And aside from that we got big savings because of the 50% discounts the stores offered, more stories here. All in all, this frugal momma went home satisfied.
A get together invitation
My classmate in College sent an email message thru our yahoo groups this morning, she's inviting everyone in our class to meet on June 19 for our class reunion. She's been in Japan for more than a decade already that's why she's so eager to have a get together, and just in time one of our classmate will be migrating to Canada soon so it will be a farewell party for her as well.
I'm having second thoughts if i will attend our class reunion though i'm also excited to meet all my friends and classmates again after a decade of not seeing or communicating with them. One reason that hinders me from going is the time ( it's a night affair) and venue, I live in a province far from Manila so travelling will be difficult for me. Anyway, it's still 3 weeks away so there's plenty of time to think and plan about it.

Last minute at the mall
We went to SM Baliuag this morning to have a last minute shopping. The Mall opens at 10:00 am, there were many people outside waiting at the entrance door when we arrived. Since it's the first mall in our town a lot of people were so excited to shop around, while some went straight ahead in the movie houses upon entering.

A busy Saturday
I wasn't able to make even a quick post last Saturday, I was very busy posting at Paraiso Philippines Forum, there was a contest and i was one of the ten participants that day. The one with the highest number of posts will win the game so i tried my best to posts as many as i can, but unfortunately my internet connection as well as my computer was not as fast as the other contestants so i did not win.hehe.. The contest starts at 8 am until 8 pm, so imagine the pressure and stress haha.. anyway i really had fun :) I'm glad hubby was so supportive, when he arrived together with my kids here in the office i asked them to wait for me until the contest ends. Good thing my officemate bought pancit palabok and drinks as Christmas treat for our casual employees, i took some for hubby and kids so they won't get hungry while waiting for me.
When the contest ends, around 8:30 we immediately drive back home. We arrived at 9:15 pm I thought i could finally take a rest but my kids said they're still hungry.. I checked the fridge but yaikks!no food left! I only saw some dried fish, so that's what i cooked for our dinner cum midnight snack.. hahaha

Back to work... and blogging
As usual it's Monday and i'm back to work and of course back to blogging. ^-^ Yesterday was rest day for me and a family day for us so i didn't find time to post anything. We usually visit our parents on Sundays, together with my siblings we stay in their place the whole day it's like a small reunion for us.
So what will be my agenda for this week? Hmm i'm still looking for a nice blog layout. Last week i missed blog hopping and dropping because i was too occupied with layout hunting and template editing. I wish i could finally find a nice template and finish with the editing as soon as possible. I've got a lot of catching up to do, i do want to visit as many blogs as possible there are so many interesting stories from my favorite sites that i already missed.
That's it for now, got a lot of work to do, but i'll make sure to blog hop and do my daily rounds today so see you later peeps :)

TGIS
Thank God it's Saturday and most of all thank God it's payday time! Yippee :) To some it's TGIF but for me it's TGIS since i still have work on Saturday. Yes i'm still here in our office working! Grrr anyway it's past 3 pm already a few hours from now i can go out and be with my family and enjoy our weekend together.
So what are our plans for tonight? For sure kukulitin na naman ako ng mga kids ko to treat them and eat pizza at Greenwich. Though i prefer Pizza Hut's pizza, Greenwich is the only one pizza store in our place so no choice ako hehe.. It's one of our bonding moments together that's why kahit magastos kumain sa Mall ok lang just to make my children happy anyway minsan lang naman. And after that we'll just look around and find some items on sale, we are on a very tight budget so i have to be wise in shopping! ^_^ Hope we can really find some good and cheap stuffs we need at home.
Double trouble
Our computer mouse at home needs replacement so we bought a new one last Saturday. I chose an optical mouse with usb connector for a change thinking that it’s just a plug and play device. My kids were so excited to use the new pc mouse when we arrived home so I immediately attached the usb cable to the port but to my dismay the mouse didn’t work. I open the website of the manufacturer to download the device driver, after downloading I restart the computer but still it cannot detect the new device! Husband is getting upset as well as the kids. Me? I’m getting mad! hehehe I don’t know how to trouble shoot computer problems and I’m afraid to experiment ‘cause it might cause more trouble.
So I just thought of bringing the pc mouse in our office and tried it in my office computer today. I plugged the mouse and tried it without re-starting the computer, yikes! it didn’t work! I unplugged the new mouse and plugged the old one but it didn’t work either. Now I’m in trouble! I’m very dependent to a mouse device and using the keyboard alone is a big problem, I’m not familiar with the use of some function keys..hehehe. With my fingers crossed I shut down the computer, plugged again the old mouse and then re-start my computer. Thank God it works!
But i’m still hoping I could use my new mouse so, from the manufacturer’s website I downloaded the mouse driver and tried again. Finally after downloading the driver it was detected by my computer and I’m using it right now. I thought I would have to return to the computer store and ask for a replacement, I’m glad I was spared from such hassle.

Down with flu
What a terrible headache i had last night! i was also chilling with high fever. Last week i was very tired taking care of my daughter in the hospital, i had sleepless nights and had a bad appetite. I didn't had the chance to rest 'cause after we were discharged at the hospital i am back to work the following day. This mom's body finally gave in and i'm down with flu.
I can't sleep last night because of my headache, while in pain i thought of those persons sick with brain tumor. I thought to myself if the pain they experience is three or five times the pain i had, now i understand why they prefer to just die rather than extend their life and experience that pain over and over. When you're sick there are so many thoughts running around your mind like what if i suddenly die what will happen to my family. Just like when i had a car accident if God did not gave me another chance to live i don't know what will be my family's future. That's when i realize the importance of life insurance, nowadays there are insurance companies that offers guaranteed issue life insurance. In this type of insurance there are no medical questions, no medical examinations and no medical tests needed. For a disabled like me this kind of insurance suits me and i'm willing to avail it for my family's future.

A day in the hospital
Remember my post about our postponed activities? I wrote that my daughter had fever and last Monday she was admitted at the hospital. For two nights she had high fever that's why i've decided to bring her to the doctor for check-up the following day, we're worried 'cause she might have dengue fever. At the hospital the doctor had her blood examined, the result shows her blood platelet is quite low although it's still above normal. He said it could drop down anytime if she really has dengue fever so it's better to monitor her condition. And so he recommends that we stay at the hospital for further tests and monitoring.
So we stayed at the hospital overnight and luckily the following day after another blood test dengue fever was ruled out since her platelet count already increased from the previous test result. Since she's free from danger we request her doctor to allow us to go home and just continue her medication at home.

Today is august 28, 2008 my very special day because it's my birthday!! Well, there will be no special celebration and this day will be like any other day, i'm already in our office to work :) But we'll have dinner in my parents house tonight.
I just want to share how grateful I am that God gave me another year to enjoy life together with my family and friends, i'm thankful for all the blessings God showered me in the past year. And as I face another year in my life my prayer is written in this song: Lead me Lord

My b-day countdown
A few hours from now another year will be added in my age. Yes it's my birthday and i'm doing a countdown right now! This is my first time to celebrate my birthday in the world of blogosphere that's why i'm so excited plus I claim this year as my lucky year. My birth date has triple 8 'cause it's 08-28-2008! hehehe. Well whether it's true or not one thing i'm sure i'm lucky and blessed that God gave me another year to live, another chance to do what He has commanded us to do, that is to share the good news of the saving grace of our Lord Jesus!

Work, work, work
I'm back to work again after a long weekend, yesterday was non-working holiday. While i'm glad i've spent longer time with my family i'm also quite sad i wasn't able to blog, hop and drop for two days. So i know i miss a lot of things while i'm away with my computer. And today i have lots of work to do especially now that i've changed my domain like updating my links with friends and blog networks. At the same time i'll be loaded with office works today, we're still having some trouble with the products we received from our supplier last week.
So this is for now, will try to write some posts later after doing my daily rounds.

Back to work
Today is Monday, it's back to work again. I was away from my computer for one day and the first thing i did today is to check my mails and my blog visitors. Every morning i'm always excited to go to work not because i miss my work hehehe but because i miss blogging. I don't have my own pc at home that's why i always look forward to come to office, since i always arrive at 6:30 am i try to write some posts about my activities or share my thoughts before my work starts at 8. Whenever i have free time i also try to connect with my friends online and see what's the latest happenings in their lives.
Hayy I've got lots of work today and the rest of the week, we have a new product to develop. I hope i'll find time to write again later after this post. By the way i also have a new blog and still working on it. I hope it will be ready before my birthday comes, my plan is to launch it on the day of my birthday para same ang birthdate namin hehehe.

I had a chat with Mommy Ruby this morning, as always she's there to guide me in my new (blogging) career.. hehehe. I want to take this seriously especially on making money online. In fact I'm considering of getting my own computer at home to get more online opportunities. But I'm having second thoughts, the money I will use to buy my computer plus the internet connection will just come from salary loan. I'm a bit worried because these are additional monthly expenses for us and I'm wondering if the online opportunities I will get will help me earn enough to cover this additional expenses plus an extra income for our needs.
I need your advice guys, please share your experiences. Should I go on with my plan? Sabi nga ni Kris, Is it a deal or no deal? :)

Yesterday I wrote I was waiting for my payment from my writing assignment, today I'm so happy to see in my mailbox that I already received my payment from IZEA. Yippee! It's just a small amount but it's enough for me to buy my own domain name for my blog.

The next step
Two weeks ago after i received my Unionbank Eon Cyberaccount card, I immediately register my card to their website for my online transaction. Today when I checked their site my account is already activated, now I can log in and view my account details. Below is a screenshot of welcome email I received from them.
Now that I have accomplished this, my next step is to update my Paypal account. Last week i also received my first deposit-payment for my first writing assignment. I have pending payments for two opps i received last week which makes me excited. I hope more opps will come my way as I need this extra source of income. Life is really difficult nowadays!

Car troubles
My husband always dream of driving a brand new car. For four years he’s been driving a second hand car and in all these years he never had peace of mind while driving. That’s because old car’s conditions are unpredictable. Like two weeks ago, the car’s radiator fan did not work, that caused the engine to overheat! Last week we’re supposed to leave for school and office but hubby was surprised when he saw one of the tires was flat just when he had the tire’s air checked the day before. Now we’re hearing a “toktok” sound underneath the car, he said one of the tires ball joint has to be replaced soon. My husband has little knowledge on car fixing that’s why he’s worried sometimes. He said what if the car just stopped in the middle of the road and he’s driving alone. Car trouble and maintenance repair not only gives us headache but “hole in our pockets” as well!
Since the car is a necessity for us as I have mentioned in my previous post, we’re really considering of getting a brand new car, but in our situation the only way we could acquire a brand new car is to get an auto loan. We’re thinking that it’s better to get a brand new car and pay for monthly amortization rather than spending our money on recurring car repairs. I know with our economic situation, where prices of commodities are getting higher, especially gasoline prices are increasing it’s hard to think that we could afford to buy a brand new car. But we live by faith, the Bible says prayer can move mountains and with God nothing is impossible! So we’ll just keep hoping, dreaming and believing.
