Weekened inspirations: The Roller-Coaster Ride Of Life (1)

The Roller-Coaster Ride Of Life

He has made everything appropriate in its time...
Ecclesiastes 3:11

One preacher said, "Friends, if I were God your body would always be 18, you could eat anything and maintain perfect weight; your middle-aged wife would have the face and figure of an angel; your mid-life husband, thick hair and washboard abs; your youngsters as intelligent as Einstein; your teens cooperative, logical and consistent. Temperatures would be 22 always; snow would be warm, melting overnight; and there'd be no nasty people. Alas, I'm not God!"

So we age, gain weight, struggle raising kids, shiver in winter, sweat in summer, and put up with difficult people. Welcome to the roller-coaster ride of life! It's neither punishment nor proof you're fatally flawed; nor is it heaven or hell selecting you for 'special' persecution, nor evidence you aren't truly saved. No, it's just life in the real world! Jesus said, "On earth you will have many trials… (John 16:33). As in the physical universe, there's an underlying 'law of wave mechanics.' In accord with it, our energy, emotions and creativity ebb and flow consistently. Sometimes we're on top of the mountain, other times the mountain is on top of us. But whether at peak or trough, God's law of wave mechanics functions - for our benefit. "There is… a time to weep (trough), and a time to laugh (peak); a time to mourn (trough), and a time to dance (peak)" (Ecclesiastes 3:1&4). While it's more fun to laugh than weep, 'He has made everything appropriate in its time.'

Relax. God, who is Alpha and Omega, determines the seasons of your life. Whichever one you're in, the Word for you today is: "My grace is sufficient for you… (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Weekend Inspirations: Wonderful Maker

Yehey! we have another long weekend vacation because GMA declared Monday as non-working holiday again. Since I’ll be away from my computer for two days, I want to leave this inspirational song and video for my Weekend Inspirations meme. I hope you’ll like it. :)

Wonderful Maker by Jeremy Camp

Happy weekend!!

Weekend inspirations: There is a Reason

There is a Reason
There is always a reason for everything.
You have many problems, and then they take wing.
You may wonder then, where you got the knack,
Of sending them away, but you know they'll be back!

It's not your doing, it's He that you serve,
He takes care of you, more than you deserve.
When we see Him in that land so high,
We may learn the reasons - up there in the sky!

Reasons for our pain, for our troubles and all,
Are they to make sure, that on Him we call?
Some things make us stronger, and some make us wait,
For something we want - Oh, don't let it be late!

Things are going badly for you this fine day?
Take your cares to Jesus, get on your knees and pray!
Tell Him you love Him, and He owns you heart and soul.
Then everything will come out right, for God is in control!

Hope this poem inspires you today. Happy weekend and God bless!

Weekend inspirations: God's Rainbows

The falling rain dissolves into mist
And the thunder begins to die
As the sporadic lightning fades
An arch of color pours from the sky.

Rainbows appear after mighty storms
When things look their worst
Just when the sky is darkest gray,
Out of Heaven does a rainbow burst.

Weekend inspirations: Counting Life's Blessings

Petal by petal - stem by stem,
Where oh where do I begin?

One is for the Lord above,
Who gives His everlasting love.

Two is for the little things
That all His kindness brings.

Three is for the Trinity,
We give our greatest thanks to Thee.

Four is for the gift of life,
Through the good times and the strife.

Five is for our family so dear,
Both those that are far and near.

Six is for blessings we reap,
Moments close to our hearts we keep.

Seven is for food, fun and friends;
The joy that they bring never ends.

Eight is for a nice warm bed,
Knowing there's a roof safely over my head.

Nine is for every brand new day
And for the moments in which we pray.

Ten is for how I can always depend
On how life's blessings never really end...

Weekend inspirations: God knows

It's time to replenish our spiritual strength after a stressful week. Well, this week was indeed stressful and difficult for me after facing another life storms. I didn't even need my weight loss pills to loose weight ' cause i've already lost my appetite, that's how affected i was. Anyway, I know all of us have our own battles in life so here's something to inspire and motivate us all.

God Knows
    When you are tired and discouraged from fruitless effort,
    God knows how hard you have tried.
Small White Flowers
    When you've cried so long your heart is in anguish,
    God has counted your tears.
Small White Flowers
    If you feel that your life is on hold and time has passed you by,
    God is waiting for you.
Small White Flowers
    When nothing makes sense and you are confused or frustrated,
    God has the answer.
Small White Flowers
    If suddenly your outlook is brighter and you find traces of hope,
    God has whispered to you.
Small White Flowers
    When things are going well and you have much to be thankful for,

    God has blessed you.
Small White Flowers
    When something joyful happens and you are filled with awe,
    God has smiled upon you.
Small White Flowers
    Remember that wherever you are or whatever you are feeling,
    God Knows!

Weekend inspirations: Tribute to Mothers

For this week's Weekend Inspirations i would like to dedicate this inspiring story to all Mothers in the world. Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

WHEN GOD MADE MOMS

By the time the Lord made mothers, he was into his sixth day of working overtime. An Angel appeared and said "Why are you spending so much time on this one"?

And the Lord answered and said, "Have you seen the spec sheet on her?" She has to be completely washable, but not plastic, have 200 movable parts, all replaceable, run on black coffee and leftovers, have a lap that can hold three children at one time and that disappears when she stands up, have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart, and have six pairs of hands.

The Angel was astounded at the requirements for this one. Six pairs of hands! No Way! said the Angel. The Lord replied, Oh, it's not the hands that are the problem. It's the three pairs of eyes that mothers must have! And that's just on the standard model? The Angel asked. The Lord nodded in agreement, Yep, one pair of eyes are to see through the closed door as she asks her children what they are doing even though she already knows. Another pair in the back of her head, are to see what she needs to know even though no one thinks she can. And the third pair are here in the front of her head. They are for looking at an errant child and saying that she understands and loves him or her, without even saying a single word.

The Angel tried to stop the Lord. This is too much work for one day wait until tomorrow to finish.

But I can't! The Lord protested, I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart. She already heals herself when she is sick AND can feed a family of six on a pound of hamburger and can get a nine year old to stand in the shower.

The Angel moved closer and touched the woman, "But you have made her so soft, Lord." She is soft, the Lord agreed, but I have also made her tough. You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish.

Will she be able to think? asked the Angel. The Lord replied, Not only will she be able to think, she will be able to reason, and negotiate. The Angel then noticed something and reached out and touched the woman's
cheek. Oops, it looks like you have a leak with this model. I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one.

That's not a leak, the Lord objected. That's a tear. What's the tear for? the Angel asked. The Lord said, The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her disappointment, her pain, her loneliness, her grief, and her pride. The Angel was impressed. You are a genius, Lord. You thought of everything, for WOMEN are truly amazing!

Weekend inspirations: There Is A Season...

For everything there is a season,

And a time for every matter under heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die;

A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal;

A time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh;

A time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to throw away stones, And a time to gather stones together;

A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to seek, and a time to lose;

A time to keep, and a time to throw away;

A time to tear, and a time to sew;

A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate,

A time for war, and a time for peace.

--Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8

Weekend inspirations: Miracles

MIRACLES

A friend of mine was driving through an intersection one day and his little four-year-old son was in the car with him.

The car door flew open, and the little boy rolled out of the vehicle right into the middle of traffic coming from four ways.

The last thing my friend saw was a set of car wheels just about on top of his son-moving at a vary fast rate of speed.

All he knew to do was cry, "JESUS!" As soon as he could bring his car to a halt, he jumped out ran to his son, who was perfectly all right.

But the man driving the car that had almost hit the child was absolutely hysterical.

My friend went over to him and started trying to comfort him... "Man, don't be upset!" he said.

"My son is all right, he's okay... Don't be concerned about it.Just thank God you were able to stop!"

"You don't understand!" the man responded. "I never touched my brakes!"

Have a blessed weekend!

Weekend inspirations: Sometimes The Day Comes*

It's time for another weekend inspirations, this time i want to share this poem written by Joy Sanhala.

Sometimes The Day Comes

Sometimes the day comes
when you try your level best
to achieve something
but you fail

Sometimes the day comes
when nobody understands you
and you feel that you are isolated
from the world

Sometimes the day comes
when you want to help the needy
but find yourself unable to
because of some reasons

Sometimes the day comes
when you are hungry and have a few bucks
but you see the child laborers and buy food for them

Sometimes the day comes
when Mom comes up with one answer
and Father with another
and you have to make your own decision

Sometimes the day comes
when you see that some people ditch others
because of their selfishness

Sometimes the day comes
when you want to tell something to your parents
but find yourself unable to because
you think that they might get hurt or misunderstand you

Sometimes the day comes
when your friends drift apart
not because you were not able to understand them
but because they were not able to understand you

Sometimes the day comes
when you want to smile
but can't find a place to even weep

Sometimes the day comes
when your beloved can't understand your feelings
and leaves you alone
and you look down and feel ashamed or embarrassed

But sometimes the day comes
when you learn from all your failure and think
"Those who dare to fail greatly can achieve greatly."

Don't look down, look up.

You are one of the persons to whom GOD is closest
and He loves you.
Remember GOD also has a son (Jesus) on the earth

but not without sufferings, peril and agonies.

Like it? i hope you did :) Well, I have to go now i have to get a gift card for my cousin's forthcoming wedding. Hope you'll have a happy and productive weekend!

Weekend inspirations: Daddy's Empty Chair*

It's time for another Weekend Inspirations and for this week i want to share this inspiring story..

DADDY'S EMPTY CHAIR

A man's daughter had asked the local minister
to come and pray with her father.
When the minister arrived,
he found the man lying in bed with his head
propped up on two pillows.

An empty chair sat beside his bed.
The minister assumed that the old fellow
had been informed of his visit.
'I guess you were expecting me, he said.

'No, who are you?' said the father.
The minister told him his name and then remarked,
'I saw the empty chair and I figured you knew
I was going to show up.'

'Oh yeah, the chair,' said the bedridden man.
'Would you mind closing the door?'
Puzzled, the minister shut the door.
'I have never told anyone this,
not even my daughter,' said the man.

'But all of my life I have never
known how to pray.
At church I used to hear the pastor talk about prayer,
but it went right over my head.'

I abandoned any attempt at prayer,'
the old man continued, '
until one day four years ago, my best friend said to me,
'Johnny, prayer is just a simple matter
of having a conversation with Jesus.
Here is what I suggest.
'Sit down in a chair;
place an empty chair in front of you,
and in faith see Jesus on the chair.

It's not spooky because he promised,
'I will be with you always'.
'Then just speak to him in the same way
you're doing with me right now.'

'So, I tried it and I've liked it so much
that I do it a couple of hours every day.
I'm careful though. If my daughter saw me talking
to an empty chair, she'd either have a nervous breakdown
or send me off to the funny farm.'

The minister was deeply moved by the story and
encouraged the old man to continue on the journey.
Then he prayed with him, anointed him with oil,
and returned to the church.

Two nights later the daughter called
to tell the minister that her daddy
had died that afternoon.
Did he die in peace?' he asked.

Yes, when I left the house about two o'clock,
he called me over to his bedside,
told me he loved me and kissed me on the cheek.
When I got back from the store an hour later,
I found him .

But there was something strange about his death.

Apparently, just before Daddy died,
he leaned over and rested his head on the chair
beside the bed. What do you make of that?'

The minister wiped a tear from his eye and said,
'I wish we could all go like that.'

Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive.

I asked God for water, He gave me an ocean..
I asked God for a flower, He gave me a garden..
I asked God for a friend, He gave me all of YOU..
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it..

Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Weekend inspirations: A Box of Kisses

It's time for another weekend inspirations. This weekend i want to share this touching and inspiring story. Hope you'll like it. :)

A Box Of Kisses

The story goes that some time ago, a man punished his 3-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.

Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Daddy." He was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found the box was empty.
He yelled at her, "Don't you know that when you give someone a present, there's supposed to be something inside it?"

The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said,"Oh, Daddy, it is not empty. I blew kisses into the box. All for you, Daddy."

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged for her forgiveness.
It is told that the man kept that gold box by his bed for years and whenever he was discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.
In a very real sense, each of us as humans have been given a gold container filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, friends, family and God. There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.

HAPPY WEEKEND!! GOD BLESS US ALL!
