My Mom is a Survivor

Here's a very inspiring poem that i would like to share, i saw this while surfing. This poem is about the thoughts and feelings of a child on her dying mother. I had tears in my eyes while reading the poem it reminds me of how I've escaped death in the past. Now I'm trying to survive and live a normal life for my family.

Hope this poem inspires you as much as i do.

My Mom is a survivor,
or so I've heard it said.
But I can hear her crying at night
when all others are in bed.

I watch her lay awake at night
and go to hold her hand.
She doesn't know I'm with her
to help her understand.

But like the sands on the beach
that never wash away ...
I watch over my surviving Mom
who thinks of me each day.

She wears a smile for others ...
a smile of disguise!
But through Heaven's door
I see tears flowing from her eyes.

My Mom tries to cope with death;
To keep my memory alive.
But anyone who knows her knows
it is her way to survive.

As I watch over my surviving Mom
through Heaven's open door ...
I try to tell her that angels
protect me forevermore!

I know that doesn't help her,
or ease the burden she bears.
So, if you get a chance, go visit her.
Show her that you care.

For no matter what she says ...
no matter what she feels.
My surviving Mom has a broken heart
that time won't ever heal.

This October we’re celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Let us all support the Breast Cancer Campaign to raise awareness of the disease.

I'm a survivor

So many trials this week.. My daughter was confined at the hospital and i wasn't able to go to work, i missed some online opportunities, i have bills to pay, etc.. Though my daughter is already out of danger I can't say the storm is really over. Still as i have said, there are huge bills haunting us plus we need more money for my daughter's medication at home.

During this lowest times in my life i'm thankful that God always reminds me of my faith in Him. Just this morning one of my Churchmate who always send inspirational messages sent this to me:

2Timothy 4:7-8 says, "I have fought the good fight, i have finished the race, i have kept the faith."

"Life always involves a fight, a race, and a test. When things get tough, remember your identity... YOU'RE A FIGHTER! A FINISHER! A CHRISTIAN WARRIOR! AN OVERCOMER!

Thank you Lord for these comforting words, You give me strength and hope. I believe I am a survivor mom and that I can overcome all these trials because Jesus is in my heart.
